Brain Surgery - Intracerebral Tumor with Blockage of CSF Circulation - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This stock medical exhibit shows an intracerebral tumor with blockage of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) circulation in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows the normal anatomy of the brain in a coronal section, including the cerebrum, superior sinus, lateral ventricle, third ventricle and optic tract. The second illustration shows normal anatomy of the brain in a mid-sagittal view, including some of the previously mentioned structures and the pineal gland, cerebral aqueduct, fourth ventricle, subarachnoid space of the spinal cord, and the pathway of CSF circulation. The third illustration shows the actual condition in a coronal section of the brain, including the dilation of the ventricles from accumulated CSF, blockage of CSF circulation from the third ventricle by a tumor and a compromised optic tract due to raised intracranial pressure. The fourth illustration shows the actual condition of the brain in a mid-sagittal section, including the blocked CSF circulation from the third ventricle by the tumor. The fifth illustration shows the location of the ventriculoperitoneal shunt in a coronal section of the brain. The sixth illustration is an enlarged view of the fifth, showing the drainage of CSF through a cannula inserted into the lateral ventricle, the location of the intracerebral tumor and the decompression of the optic tract.

What attorneys say about MLA and The Doe Report:
"I just wanted to let you know that after several days on trial, I settled [my client's] construction accident case for $4.5 million. Immediately after the jury was discharged, I spoke with several jurors who told me that they really appreciated the medical illustrations for their clarity in dealing with [my client's] devastating injuries. They also expressed their gratitude in being able to read from a distance all of the notations without difficulty. Obviously, the boards were visually persuasive. I am certain that this contributed to our successful result."

Michael Gunzburg, Esq.
Attorney at Law.
New York, NY

"Thank you very much for the great work on the medical exhibits. Our trial resulted in a $16 million verdict for a 9 year old boy with catastrophic injuries, and the medical illustrations definitely played key role in the trial."

David Cutt
Brayton Purcell
Salt Lake City, UT

"For modern audiences, it is absolutely essential to use medical demonstrative evidence to convey the severity and extent of physical injuries to a jury. Your company's high quality illustrations of our client's discectomy surgery, combined with strong expert testimony, allowed the jury to fully appreciate the significance of our client's injuries.

We are very pleased with a verdict exceeding $297,000.00, far in excess of the $20,000.00 initially offered by the defendant. The medical demonstrative evidence provided by Medical Legal Art was an asset we could not have afforded to have been without."

Todd J. Kenyon
Attorney at Law
Minneapolis, MN

"Thanks, and your illustrations were effective in a $3 million dollar verdict last Friday."
