Physiology of the Spleen and The Dangers of Hyposplenia - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit depicts the physiology of the spleen and the dangers of hyposplenia (abnormally small spleen) using two illustrations. The first graphic pictures blood cleansing in the spleen at the cellular level. The second image demonstrates hyposplenia, comparing a normal and small spleen. Beneath the illustrations are captions describing the normal and adverse effects of hyposplenia on blood filtering and lymphocyte production.
