This medical exhibit features a skeletal view of the right ankle illustrates the pre-operative condition. This image reveals the lateral ankle problems including widespread synovitis, scar tissue and chondral defects of the talus. The surgical steps of the repair are illustrated which include include the insertion of the arthroscopic instruments as well as the creation of the open incision, the debridement of the synovitis and adhesions and finally the motorized chondroplasty of the talus.
